The Farm Store

The Farm Store is where you will be able to find all of our available Barrier Farms Meat products, along with other food products from our community. It also serves as our pick up location for our online orders. Our goal is to connect people back to their food source and back to buying directly from farmers, and we are starting that with the farm store. We aren’t fancy, its not much to look at, but it offers you a place to come shop all our beef, pork, and chicken, along with locally roasted coffee, jams and jellies, honey, elderberry syrup, raw pet milk, beef jerky, soap, maple syrup, Barrier Farms shirts, hats and so much more! We are adding new products every month as we find more farmers and growers to partner with. We would love to see you come out! We will be adding more hours as we grow, and eventually more days. Please be aware that there is NO BATHROOM at the Farm Store! Look below for photos of products, and scroll down to read about how we raise our animals as well as a full price list of meat available at the store.

We believe in food the way it should be. In today's world of unwrap and microwave, no one even knows what their food is, let alone where it comes from. They forget that the hamburger they ate two hours ago was actually once a living, breathing cow that spent its life growing and working to give life to others. Few people even know what their food looks like if its not wrapped in plastic sitting on a grocery store shelf. We grow our food the natural way. We let our chickens out of their cages and let the cows roam free to eat grass. After all, good farmers know if you take care of your animals, they will take care of you. It may be old-fashioned, but we like it that way.

Levi is the oldest Barrier son and works on the farm full time, along with his wife Tia. They manage Barrier Farms Meats, which is just a fancy way of saying they are in charge of product sales around here. While we have always had animals here on the farm, its only been since 2018 that anyone could buy our meats for your family. In the past we have always sold our animals to other farms to finish off through the way of an animal auction, and while this works for many farms just fine, it didn’t always work for us. There is a lot of time in transporting animals as well as the price changes daily in the animal market. Now through this new venture, our animals stay on our farm their entire lives, get processed very close to home, and are then sold to local families directly off the farm! Since it does require a lot of time and work, This has become its own separate part of the farm much like Barrier Mills, and Levi and Tia run it almost completely. We are so glad to be able to share our awesome pasture raised meats with our community and friends! Food brings people together, so lets make sure its some dang good food!

Humanely raised and processed, free of antibiotics or added hormones, 100% pasture raised. Just like we’ve always done.

Our Promise To You.

Rest assured, all of our animals receive the best care on our farm. From the day they are born(or arrive) till the day they leave us, they are kept on grass pasture, left to roam and grow to their hearts content. Regular human interaction means there is no fear of us even when we are handling them. While our breeding stock may need to be given medications or antibiotics in a life threatening situation, none of our animals in our meat program have ever been given any antibiotics or medications in their lifetime. While our pigs and chickens receive grain regularly, our steers are only grain finished at the end of their lives and all feed fed on the farm was grown right here and is certified GMO FREE. We pride ourselves on our honesty, and transparency with our customers about our way of life. We are your farmer, if you have any questions or concerns, our door is always open for you!

We love our animals, and we love being able to share them with you. If you’re interested in placing an order or to check pricing, head over to the “shop” page and check out all our farms products! it might sound a little prideful but our meat is amazing, you can taste the difference and you will get hooked once you try it…so get ready!

We use a mix of electric movable netting and movable coops for our pasture raised birds.

we call them little chicken nuggets.

Our Beef is raised on pasture its entire life, and finished at the end with our homegrown, home produced, certified GMO FREE grain.

Cows are our favorite, period. Sorry pigs and chickens.

Our pigs enjoy pastures too! We let them be pigs, and they really love it. Mud holes, rooting up the ground, and acorns make up a pigs favorite day. Their diet is also supplemented with our Farm grown GMO free feed.
